Atelier Yoshino

We want to create a place where the costumes we put our hearts and souls into can play　an active role until the very end.

Our products have a distinct advantage over our competitors. Our product lineup exceeds 100,000 costumes and we continue to add more than 600 costumes every month. Our product lineup, which ranges from soloist level to corps de ballet costumes and includes a wide variety of sizes, is a product appeal that no other company can imitate.

In order to create new costumes, we have to find a place for garments that have retired from the front lines of rental and are no longer serving their purpose. With new costumes being added to the production line at a rate of 600 per month, the warehouse would be overflowing if we did not physically circulate the old and new costumes. Even though they are old, our “Atelier YOSHINO special specifications” costumes are durable enough to be used repeatedly as rentals for 20 years with skilled maintenance. The costumes that we have researched and created with all our heart and soul still have plenty of room for further development. Therefore, as a place where costumes can play an active role until the end, we have turned our attention not only to Japan but also to the other Overseas markets.

By providing Atelier YOSHINO costumes to children in Overseas, we are confident that we will be able to raise the standard of the ballet industry in Overseas as a whole. And, we will be able to help children in each of the Overseas country develop a deeper love and positive attitude toward ballet, a sense of excitement and elation, and a sense of joy, fun, and achievement in being on the stage.

Atelier YOSHINO, which started its business without any in-depth knowledge of ballet, has been able to reach its current state thanks to the support and cooperation of many people. As a way of returning this favor, we believe it is our mission to contribute to the development of the ballet industry in Japan and Overseas, as we approach our 30th year in business.

Costume Donation

Costumes that have been used for many years are discontinued, and no longer rented out. But many of these costumes are still in very good condition and useful as costumes, so we donate them to places where ballet costumes are needed. Our ballet costumes are being used by the City of Toronto in Canada, Dance Theatre of Harlem School in New York, Serge Refar Memorial Kiev Municipal Dance Academy in Kiev (Ukraine), Royal Ballet School Antwerp、Kazakhstan National Academy of Choreography , Sociedad Mexicana de Maestros de Danza A.C. and others.
