The Hungarian Dance University, which is dedicated to train dance artists in Hungary, has launched a new ballet competition of outstanding artistic quality to promote the Hungarian dance art education and profession. The annual Budapest Ballet Grand Prix international ballet competition welcomes talented young dancers from all over the world to test their excellence, talent and dedication, and offers them a wide range of opportunities to advance their careers as dancers. From Japan to the USA, competitors from professional schools and ensembles will bring out their best in three age groups, both in classical and contemporary ballet.

The semi-finals and final round will be held at the National Dance Theatre, and the Gala Programme will be held at the Palace of Arts as the most spectacular finale of BBGP23.

The gala evening presents the awarding ceremony, the presentations of the winners and awarded competitors of the various categories, furthermore guest performances of HDU students and of the iconic Ballet Company of Győr.
