Entrants are interested in this year’s competition in a progressively increasing number. The total of entries to Budapest Ballet Grand Prix has already exceeded 90 so far and we are approaching 100 registrations from all around the world. Meanwhile, there is still two weeks to register so the field for the newest high standard ballet competition in the heart of Europe is swiftly shaping up.

It has been a fantastic success to have such a diverse and high quality field with ballet artists from more than 18 countries already interested in the 18-22 November competition.

From the very beginning, the organisers’ aim was to make the event, organised by the 75-year-old Hungarian Dance University, a true meeting place for European and world-wide dance arena. Entries were received from many countries in Europe, the United States, China, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. We are delighted that there is so much interest.

Besides the high level of this year’s participants, the Organising Committee will as well do its utmost to ensure that the event, which will take place in Hungary’s most magnificent venues, the prestigious National Dance Theatre and the world-renowned Palace of Arts, MÜPA Budapest, will be worthy of the brand-new ballet Grand Prix debuting last year, and elevate it into an even higher standard in 2024.

As previously reported, the deadline for entries has been extended at the request of the partner institutions, so registration for BBGP 2024 it is still available for students of dance conservatories and professional ballet schools from all around the world from 14 years of age up to 22,99 years.
